Nathan + Christy's Cross Creek Ranch Wedding

Cross Creek Ranch is an awesome outdoor barn venue in Dover, FL. We are so happy to be one of their preferred vendors and get to shoot there often. Nathan and Christy's wedding there was nothing short of amazing. They had a rustic chic vibe with shades of blush, mint, and gold.

What do you love most about each other?

"I love how very patient & genuinely sweet Nathan is"

"I love how caring & incredibly kind Christy is"

Why did you choose your wedding date?

"We chose 2/3 because 3 is Christy's favorite number, we wanted a sequential date, and finally because we were planning an outdoor wedding & February is one of the few months in Florida when the weather is consistently comfortable. It was a success because it was a gorgeous day! In terms of the time of day, not only was that the time the venue had available but also it allowed us to take post ceremony portraits during the best time of day for natural lighting."

What was the most memorable part of the wedding day for each of you?

Christy: "The most memorable part of the day for me was just the amount of pure love and joy I had & felt that day from beginning to end. It was such an emotional experience and it truly was the best day ever to this point in my life."

Nathan: "Seeing Christy at the end of the aisle because she was breathtaking & I couldn't believe that I was so incredibly lucky to be marrying such an amazing woman."

The songs for the ceremony were all The Beatles! When the Groom & Groomsmen walked down the aisle they played "Something", when the Bridesmaids walked down the aisle they played "Here Comes the Sun", when the Bride walked down the aisle we played "Blackbird", and lastly for our Recessional we played "All You Need is Love".

One of Leo and I's favorite parts was the first high five as husband and wife!

Do you have any advice for couples currently planning a wedding?

"While the experience can be stressful at times whether it's dealing with your family, friends, each other, or vendors keep into perspective why you're planning a wedding and continue to make that your priority. At the end of the day you have your marriage and your photos/video to help preserve the memories made that day; my advice is to ensure you invest your time, emotions, and money wisely with that in mind."
